Select Field

This property box contains settings for the Retrieve Field Value activity. It determines the field to retrieve a value from.

To configure Field Name

1. Add the Retrieve Field Value activity to your workflow definition by dragging it from the Toolbox Pane and dropping it in the Designer Pane.
2. Select the activity in the Designer Pane.
3. Under Field Names  in the Properties Pane, click Add to select the field you want to retrieve a value from. You can only select a field associated with the Laserfiche repository specified.

   

4. In the Select Field dialog box, select a field from the drop-down box.

   

5. Optional: To only display a field associated with a specific template, select Filter by template and select a template from the drop-down box.
6. If the selected field allows for multiple values, select which values should be retrieved:
   
   
   • Retrieve the field with index: Enables you to select which field value will be retrieved. Values are assigned index numbers according to the order in which they are assigned. The higher the number, the newer the value.

     Example: If a field value has an index of "1", this means that it is the field's oldest value.

   • Retrieve all field values: Returns all of the values assigned to the field.
